Captain Tadesse and First Officer Lugemwa from ExpressJet

 

In high school I decided I wanted to pursue a career in aviation. I began flying at the age of 19 years old and obtained my ratings through Middle Tennessee State University's Aerospace program.

After graduating, I moved to Florida where I taught flight instruction for a little over a year. I loved teaching and loved being able to fly and teach. I gained the experience there to apply for an airline.

Soon after getting my ATP, I was hired on by ExpressJet as a First Officer. I could not have gotten here alone, I am grateful for pioneers and mentors who led the way and helped me to accomplish my dream.
